The average salary of a private aviation lawyer in Canada is $72,000 per year, according to a new survey by the Canadian Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
The survey was conducted by Laval University and The Law Office of the Lawyer Retainer in partnership with the Canadian Centre for Law & Society (CCLSS).
In response to the survey, CCLSS CEO Michael Smith told Business Insider, “If you’re looking for a lawyer who has a good track record and can deliver a high-quality case, I would say it’s the Canadian Airlines lawyers.”
CCLss CEO Smith also told BI that “lawyers are not all about speed and high volumes,” and that “we’re not interested in lawyers with speed.
We want lawyers who can deliver quality legal work at the highest level possible.”
Smith also pointed out that “if you have a long-term case, you may be better served by having a lawyer that’s experienced, and that is competent and is focused on your case.”
The Law Offices of the Canadian Bar Association (CAA) responded to the Laval survey, saying that “our law firm and law firm are well represented across Canada.
Our legal practice is well known and respected.”
A CAA spokesperson told BI, “We look forward to participating in the survey as part of our ongoing review of the law firm landscape.”
The CAA is the largest organization of law firms in Canada.
Its members represent over 7,500 members in all 50 states and territories.
