Like I said earlier, lights fascinate me because even simple light pieces can transmute a simple room into one that provides ample right for your child to read and play. Use lights to add glamor, style and drama. Floor lamps are beautiful and can be placed near the play area. Add lights with dimmers so that you can dim the lights when your child falls asleep when you are reading to him/her. Lights come in all shapes, colors, materials and sizes, so you are sure to find one that complements your child's room.
Most teens by this stage are heavily influenced by Hollywood, and tend to grow out of it as time flies by! You can get Hollywood straight into the room with movie posters , props and movie memorabilia. Add lots of shimmer, sequins, glitz, and glamor to make this room befit a Hollywood star. Though a little lavish to some, you can even have cinema-style seating and decorate the furniture with some jewels.
Comfort and safety are two factors that you need to take care of, since your baby is unable to voice her/his opinions. So here are some ideas:
Words can be used creatively to influence tender minds of children. Painting the room with poems and nursery rhymes help children in reciting them with ease and also develops their interest in further reading. One can write their own quotes which describe or are associated with their children. It helps develop a sense of belonging in children for their rooms.
